Attorney Biography
Andrea Bosquez-Porter is originally from San Antonio, Texas. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York and a Master of Business Administration degree from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Ms. Bosquez-Porter is admitted to practice law in North Carolina and Wisconsin and before the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. She is an active volunteer in her community, most recently serving at the North Carolina Bar Association’s All Statewide Service Day on March 4, 2011. She also volunteered for the Young Lawyers Division Ask A Lawyer Day in 2011. Ms. Bosquez-Porter uses her fluency in Spanish to help Legal Aid of North Carolina’s Project Together, where she represents Spanish-speaking clients in complex restraining order cases. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association.
In 2009, Ms. Bosquez-Porter graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She received the 2009 Abner Brodie Award in recognition of her outstanding achievement in legal study and application of the law. Ms. Bosquez-Porter was the recipient of the Advanced Opportunity Fellowship scholarship and received academic achievement awards for Criminal Law and Real Estate. While in law school she worked extensively in family law and related matters, and following graduation, she practiced family law in Wisconsin.
Ms. Bosquez-Porter serves on the Wake County Bar Association’s Public Service Committee and its Technology Committee. She lives in Fuquay-Varina with her husband and two small children. She enjoys knitting in her free time.
